As the founding Partner and CEO of Cody Vermette Group Commercial Builders (formerly Cody|Brock), Rich Cody brings over four decades of experience in commercial construction. His approach centers on building by understanding — listening first, then delivering with precision, integrity, and purpose. Rich forms lasting client partnerships through innovative, high-quality, and cost-effective construction solutions. His expertise spans the full project lifecycle, from pre-construction planning to complex, high-performance builds. Combining meticulous attention to detail with modern best practices, Rich ensures a personalized approach that produces efficient, client-focused outcomes. He has a particular passion for historic renovations and technically challenging projects, where he contributes both creative vision and practical insight to deliver exceptional results. Rich holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Oregon and brings a disciplined, analytical mindset and steadfast commitment to craftsmanship and excellence in every project.

Ross brings deep expertise in managing complex tenant improvement projects for CVG’s long-standing clients. He leads some of CVG’s largest and most technical buildouts—including laboratory environments, collaborative workspaces, private offices, conference rooms, training centers, and dining facilities. As Vice President, Ross provides strategic leadership and hands-on oversight across all phases of construction, project management, and administration. He is responsible for approving budgets, managing GMP contracts, and ensuring seamless project execution. Ross also plays a critical role in developing and mentoring CVG’s project teams, including managers, engineers, superintendents, and field staff—driving operational excellence and delivering outstanding results for our clients. He holds a Construction Management degree from California State University, Chico.

Connor brings strong leadership and hands-on expertise to tenant improvement and commercial renovation projects throughout the Peninsula. He specializes in clear, consistent communication across architects, engineers, clients, and field teams—ensuring project scope, schedules, and quality standards are met without compromise. Connor recently delivered 25,000 SF of high-end tenant improvements at the Brickline building in downtown San Mateo for Prometheus Real Estate Group, executing complex finishes on an accelerated schedule in a Class A office environment. He also led the renovation of a historic building and full restaurant buildout for Clark’s Oyster Bar in downtown Menlo Park, successfully navigating the coordination between construction and operational teams ahead of the April 2025 grand opening. His portfolio spans a wide range of tenant improvements in Redwood City, Palo Alto, and across the Peninsula. Known for his proactive problem-solving, meticulous attention to detail, and client-first mindset, Connor consistently delivers quality results that foster long-term relationships. He holds a degree in Construction Management from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo.

Casey is responsible for company-wide operations management, project staffing, and providing support and mentoring to our growing staff. His role also encompasses marketing, business development, client relations, and client retention. Casey’s hands-on approach ensures superior product quality and efficiency and delivers outstanding service that exceeds client expectations. Casey holds a B.S. in Economics from the University of California at Santa Barbara.

As Finance Director, Jonathan brings over 10 years of financial management and accounting experience to his role at CVG. He is well-versed in overseeing accounting operations, project finance, corporate/project internal controls, contracts, and risk management. Detail-oriented and meticulous, he collaborates regularly with project managers to manage budgets and has streamlined operations by incorporating innovative programs into daily operations. Jonathan oversees month-end financial closings, finance operations, and strives toward lowering the overall risk profile of the company and its projects.

Since joining CVG in 2012, Christian has successfully managed over 75,000 SF of ground-up construction and 325,000 SF of tenant improvement projects across the Bay Area. Known for his proactive approach, clear communication, and deep understanding of client goals, Christian ensures projects progress smoothly, on schedule, and within budget from startup through completion. Recently, he led the construction of a modern 21,403 SF, three-story building featuring contemporary office spaces on the upper floors, a welcoming lobby, an automated garage, and a 950 SF retail space. Currently, Christian is managing a two-story, 15,000 SF building project at Sharon Heights Golf & Country Club, including site utilities, parking, retaining walls, and landscaping. Christian holds a B.S. in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from the University of Oregon, bringing a strong financial acumen to project management and client collaboration.

With a strong customer-service focus and a detailed, schedule-oriented approach, Kaj brings an outstanding work ethic to his role as Project Manager for Cody Vermette Group. His in-depth knowledge of estimating, scheduling, project management, and cost efficiency ensures that projects run smoothly and efficiently. He has successfully managed a number of high-end tenant improvement projects, as well as office to lab conversions. Kaj attended Gonzaga University.

Since 2011, Amanda has been a dedicated team player throughout the company. As a Project Manager, she oversees a variety of projects from pre-construction through completion to ensure that each project runs efficiently. She is responsible for the daily management of scope, budgeting, and tracking schedules for her projects and is knowledgeable in working with subcontractors, communicating with the team, and understanding project requirements. Amanda holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Santa Clara University, with a focus in Structural Engineering.
